Es sind gute Wochen für Indie-Folk-Fans! Mit «A Study Of Losses» legen Beirut und Bon Iver mit «Sable, Fable» jeweils gewichtige Alben vor. Letzteres ist Album des Monats im Musikexpress und Album der Woche im Zündfunk auf Bayern 2. Wir hören auch die neuen Werke von The Burning Hell aus Kanada, Florist aus den USA, Albert af Ekenstam aus Schweden, Charif Megarbane aus dem Libanon und Western Skies Motel aus Dänemark. Sie alle spielen atmosphärisch dichte Folk-Pop-Songs – mal instrumental, mal mit Gesang, mehr oder weniger melancholisch. Aber allesamt entwaffnend schön!
